30-Day Prayer Challenge Day 25:

Father God, may my husband take note and pay attention to Matthew 5:28 where Jesus cautions us that anyone who looks lustfully at another woman has already committed adultery with her in his heart.  Please help my husband be on guard against lustful thoughts that may enter his mind.  May he not look with approval on anything that is vile, but rather help him to despise the unfaithfulness that is prevalent in today’s society (Psalm 101:3).  Grant my husband the willpower and determination to want no part of watching pornography, entertaining lustful thoughts, or having an affair, but keep him passionate about his commitment to purity and faithfulness.  Give him the same resolve as Job so that he will make a covenant with his eyes not to look lustfully at a young woman either on screen or in real life (Job 31:1).  Lord, Your Word says that when we are tempted You will provide a way out, and so I pray that my husband would always see Your escape when temptations of lust come his way (1 Corinthians 10:13).  Thank You, Lord Jesus, for being the one, true God who has been tempted in every way – yet You remained without sin.  May my husband draw close to You during times he feels lured astray having full confidence that You will empathize with his weakness and give him strength to overcome (Hebrews 4:15).  I ask all of these things in Your Name.  Amen.
