30-Day Prayer Challenge Day 13:

Father God, You are referred to as the God of Peace throughout the Bible, and I pray that You would be exactly that for my husband right now.  When You walked this earth, You calmed a storm with merely the sound of Your voice (Matthew 8:23–27).  I pray that with that same voice, You would calm every storm within my husband’s heart and mind today.  You tell us that we will find rest for our souls in You alone because Your yoke is easy and Your burden is light (Matthew 11:29–30).  Thank You for that amazing promise!  I pray that my husband would comprehend that truth and relinquish his burdens to You.  Thank You for giving us an eternal peace that does not pass away, no matter how difficult our circumstances may be.  I pray that my husband would not be afraid or troubled, but that he would take heart, being confident that You have overcome the world and that You, Yourself, are peace (John 14:27, John 16:33, Ephesians 2:14).  May the peace that transcends all comprehension (Philippians 4:7) abundantly fill my husband.  I pray that he would know Your character just as Gideon did when he built an altar and named it “The Lord is Peace” (Judges 6:24).  Thank You for truly being the God of Peace.  I love You, Lord, and I ask all of these things in Jesus’ name.  Amen.
